Our Window Tint Installation Process

A quality result depends on more than the film itself. Proper preparation, accurate patterns, and careful installation all affect how the finished tint looks and performs.

1. Request a Quote: Tell us the year, make, model, and body style of your vehicle. Let us know whether you want the full vehicle, front windows, rear windows, or another specific area tinted.

2. Compare Film and Shade Options: We explain the differences between carbon and ceramic film and help you compare available shades. Your selection should consider heat rejection, privacy, daytime and nighttime visibility, appearance, and legal requirements.

3. Prepare the Vehicle and Glass: The windows are inspected and cleaned before installation. Existing film, adhesive, contamination, or glass damage may affect preparation time and the final quote.

4. Computer-Cut the Patterns: Film patterns are cut by computer for your specific vehicle. This allows accurate fitment while reducing the need for freehand cutting around the glass.

5. Install and Inspect the Film: The film is applied to the interior side of the glass and carefully positioned. Once the installation is complete, we inspect the windows, edges, and overall appearance.​

6. Review Aftercare Instructions: Before you leave, we explain how long to keep the windows rolled up, what to expect while the film cures, and how to clean the tinted glass safely.​

Choose the Right Window Tint Shade

Window tint percentages refer to Visible Light Transmission, commonly called VLT. A higher percentage allows more visible light through the window, while a lower percentage creates a darker appearance.

• 70% Tint: A very light, nearly clear option. It is often considered by drivers who prioritize heat and UV protection while wanting to preserve maximum visibility and a factory-style appearance.

• 50% Tint: A light and subtle shade that reduces brightness without dramatically changing the appearance of the vehicle.​

• 35% Tint: A medium shade that provides a noticeable tinted look while maintaining more visibility than darker options.​

• 15% Tint: A very dark shade that provides increased privacy. It may not be legal on every window or vehicle, so placement and final VLT must be considered.

• 5% Tint: Sometimes called limo tint, 5% film creates the darkest appearance and the highest level of privacy. It is not legal for many window positions and may significantly reduce nighttime visibility.

The film percentage alone does not always determine the final VLT. Factory glass may already be tinted, so the glass and added film must be considered together.

New Mexico Window Tint Requirements

New Mexico generally requires automotive window film to be nonreflective. For many passenger vehicles, covered side and rear windows must allow at least 20% light transmission and the vehicle must have both left and right outside rearview mirrors. Windshield tint is generally limited to the area above the AS-1 line or the top five inches, whichever is closer to the top. Different rules or exceptions may apply to certain multipurpose vehicles and qualifying medical exemptions.
